Despite nine years in prison and a $33.5 million lawsuit he was found liable in, OJ Simpson should live a comfortable life after his release.
The former football star is entitled to a pension from the NFL, which Sports Illustrated reports could be up to $25,000 (£18,815) per month or $300,000 (£225,784) annually.
Simpson also acted in several TV shows and films so he is also due a pension from the Screen Actors Guild.
In 1997 Simpson was found liable in a civil suit for the wrongful deaths of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ronald Goldman, after being acquitted of criminal charges.
He was ordered to pay $33.5 million to the victim's families, however pensions are protected and cannot be seized by creditors.
Upon his release from prison officials were unaware of OJ Simpson's choice for a new residents although it is believed he will return to Florida, where he has lived since the late 1990s.
