Chevrolet has lifted the lid on its all-new ZR1, a name associated with a super muscle car for more than 48 years.
This latest incarnation of the ZR1 packs a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 churning out an eye-watering 745bhp and 969Nm of torque.

This pushes the car all the way to a top speed of 210mph – making it the fastest car Chevrolet has ever made. This is also thanks to an eight speed automatic gearbox, which can also be manually shifted via paddles on the back of the steering wheel.
Executive vice president, Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain at Chevrolet, Mark Reuss, said: "I've never driven a Corvette like this before, and nobody else has either, because there's never been one like this before."
"Its unprecedented performance puts all other global supercars on notice that the ZR1 is back."
Unlike many cars, however, the ZR1 has two optional packs that help improve the aerodynamics of the car. The first of these adds a "low" rear wing.
This is actually the faster of the two, adding 70 per cent more downforce than the standard ZO6 Corvette.
The second option is a high wing. This is a fully adjustable spoiler that adds 60 per cent more downforce over the standard car. Both of these options also come with what Chevrolet calls an "under wing" – forming the front spoiler that lies beneath the front bumper.
The front splitter above this also has carbon fibre ends and both cars come with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres as standard.
As standard the interior of the car gets heated and cooled Nappa leather seats, a carbon fibre rimmed steering wheel and a Bose premium sound system. The exterior gets plethora of loud colour schemes to choose including "Sebring Orange."
