Woman Builds Custom ‘Dog Train’ So Disabled Pups Can Go On Daily Walks

There are some amazing animal lovers out there with great big hearts, and those people will do anything for the fur babies that they care for. ABC News shared a video on Saturday, April 6th about a woman in Turkey who got very creative so that she could take disabled dogs in a local animal shelter on walks every day. This story will make you smile!

Buket Ozgunlu, the woman who came up with the idea, uses plastic barrels to create a "dog train" pulled by an ATV. Each pup is given its own barrel to sit in, and they cruise the town in style. Ozgunlu says she does this so that they can see the world around them and feel the breeze...something that all of us enjoy!

If this doesn't brighten up your day, I don't know what will! This story melted my heart, and these dogs all look so happy to get out into the world and out of the shelter for a bit. ABC News commenters loved this story as much as I did. @Jaya swooned, "Omg this is the cutest thing I've ever seen!" and @Hood Hillary Banks added, "Bless her sweet soul!" @Stace Marie said what we were all thinking, "Well now I need to go to Lowe’s and make a dog train!"

How To Help Animals Waiting for Forever Homes

Sadly, most of these dogs will probably spend the rest of their lives in the animal shelter. Disabled animals are rarely adopted, and I'm so happy that this woman goes out of her way to bring them some joy each day. By supporting animal shelters, rescues, and sanctuaries, you are helping animals in need, even if you aren't looking to foster or adopt an animal.

You can help by donating money or gift cards directly to your local shelter or their fundraising efforts. You can also purchase food, leashes, toys, and other necessities and deliver them directly to the shelter. All of this helps to feed and care for the animals, and these things are always needed and never turned down.

There are non-monetary ways that you can help, too. You can donate your time by volunteering or helping to transport animals as needed. Word of mouth is a great way to help spread the word about a shelter or rescue's efforts to find animals forever homes! You can promote their causes on social media channels simply by liking, commenting, and sharing their posts like I'm doing here. It's an easy way to help them reach a whole new audience just by sharing a story or funny clip. These animals deserve to find families that will love them, and every chance we have to help we should!
