Viewers threaten to turn over as 'This Morning' visits 'Downton Abbey'
Some This Morning viewers threatened to switch over as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield hosted a special Downton Abbey episode, saying it was “boring” for people who didn’t watch the period drama.
The presenters swapped their usual studio for Highclere Castle in Hampshire (where the ITV series is filmed), to mark the release of the Downton film.

After being shown in by Downton butler Mr Carson (Jim Carter), the pair had a look around the stunning building and chatted to some of the film’s stars. They even took their iconic sofa with them for the interviews.
The one-off instalment went down a storm with Downton fans, but regular This Morning viewers who don’t tune in to follow the lives of the Crawleys admitted they felt a bit left out.

One person questioned why This Morning themed their show around Downton when other movies don’t get the same.
“Why is Downton getting the special treatment?” asked the viewer.
“It’s not like #ThisMorning were promoting 50 Shades in a Soho sex dungeon, were they?”
