An Irish cancer foundation made some changes to one of Dublin’s most famous statues, seeking to raise awareness of how easy it can be to miss something out of the ordinary that could be a sign of a health risk. The Marie Keating Foundation posted a video on October 25 demonstrating how they added a small lump to the side of one of the breasts on the statue of Molly Malone in Grafton Street. The organization said no one who followed the tradition of taking photos with the fishmonger and then touching the statue’s breasts noticed the abnormality.
