Shelter to Stardom: Rescue Dog Leads 'Lady and the Tramp'

The 1955 Disney film "Lady and the Tramp" is getting the live-action treatment. But the real story might be that of one of its stars: a rescue dog named Monte. The pup, who's starring as Tramp, was adopted from an Arizona animal shelter. "When he got here he was very friendly with us. He already knew how to walk on a leash," said Heather Allen, president and CEO of Halo Animal Rescue. Monte's original name was Rocky and he was one of six dogs given up by a family who couldn't afford to take care of him. InsideEdition.com's Leigh Scheps has more.
