Sakurajima, Japan’s most active volcano, blew up plumes of steam twice before a volcanic explosion early on Sunday, December 16.The blasts took place on Sakurajima’s southern peak, Minami-dake, the only active one out of the the volcano’s three peaks.This footage, recorded on Sunday, December 15, shows grey plumes of smoke rising from Sakurajima.
