Mating Seahorses Dazzle Freediver Near Melbourne

Freediver and photographer Jules Casey shared video on February 4 of what they described as “one of the most beautiful moments” they had every captured: two seahorses mating. The seahorses, filmed in Port Phillip Bay, Victoria, appear to be pot-bellied seahorses which are common in the area. The male seahorse is the animal on the right, with an inflated “brood pouch”. The male seahorse receives eggs from the female. Credit: @onebreathdiver via Storyful
