Freezing temperatures in Ontario and the US northeast caused ice to form at Niagara Falls on January 22.A winter storm turned the northeast into a deep freezer, according to CNN. NWS New York warned of dangerously cold wind chills and advised people to prevent frostbite and hypothermia by dressing in layers and covering exposed skin.“Brutal” cold temperatures were expected to continue in the northeast in coming days.
