Student protesters in Toulouse, France, took to the streets for the fourth day in a row on Thursday, December 6, throwing stones at police and setting fires.According to France Bleu, between 2,000 and 3,000 students initially gathered at Université Jean-Jaurès to protest change to the Baccalauréat exam.Violence began when a some of those assembled marched towards Saint Cyprien, near the city center, smashing bus stops, setting fires, and throwing rocks at police, Toulouse’s Dépêche du Midi reported. At one point, protesters started a fire in the center of Pont Neuf, a bridge near Toulouse’s city center.In a tweet, Toulouse’s mayor, Jean-Luc Moudenc, condemned the violence, saying that protesters arrived with the sole goal of causing chaos.
