An eco sanctuary in New Zealand has finally caught a rogue weasel that inifiltrated its premises back on October 1.The female weasel was found in a humane kill trap by a Zealandia ranger on Friday, October 12, and will have her stomach examined to see if she ate any of the sanctuary’s wildlife, according to a report.Zealandia told Storyful that rangers had set approximately 110 traps around the eco sanctuary in order to catch the predator, and Conservation and Research Manager Dr Danielle Shanahan said that she was delighted with the outcome.“I’m really proud of our team here, and the wide range of partners who have supported us. We’ve managed to detect and respond to this really quickly, dramatically reducing the risk to our wildlife,” she said. Credit: Zealandia via Storyful
