A mass of ice slowly broke up as it passed the Lithuanian town of Rusné, on February 16, after the region experienced severe rainfall.This footage shows the mesmeric motion of the ice as it breaks up in floodwater and is deposited along the riverbank.Local reports said that water levels on the road between Rusné and nearby Šilutė rose to 95cms by February 18.News site DELFI quoted a meteorologist as saying that the compacted ice, known as Ledonešio, is a natural phenomenon that occurs every year.
