A baby bat enjoyed a bath at a flying fox rehabilitation centre in Queensland, as high temperatures impacted the region in mid-January.In this video, filmed by a carer at the Wings Paws N’ Claws facility in South East Queensland, baby Storm gets her wings cleaned.Flying foxes are known for being particularly susceptible to the heat.“I keep my orphans cool by keeping a fan blowing and offering them water in bowls and drippers,” the carer told Storyful.“My outside bats get the same, but instead of a fan, I put a sprinkler on the top of the aviary to cool it down inside. It’s light so they just think it’s raining.“If I’m doing a rescue and it is extremely hot with a bat on barbed wire etc, I will lightly spray their wings with water.
