Zoe Ball and Fatboy Slim celebrate son Woody's GCSE results

DJ Norman Cook - aka Fatboy Slim - told his son "I'm sorry I ever doubted you" as the 16-year-old celebrated getting his GCSE results. Woody Cook arrived at Brighton College with his father as well as his mother, TV and radio presenter Zoe Ball, to collect his results. He said he achieved an eight in English Language and a seven in English Literature while also picking up a six in maths - higher than the four he had been expecting. He also gained As in drama, DT (design technology), science and additional science and a B in computing. He said he was hoping to gain A* in some of these subjects as he would be requesting a remark. As his father gave the teenager a hug, he told him: "Well done. Done it, done it." He then said: "Thanks for coming straight back out, you know how I said come straight out, it's been half an hour now." After giving her son a hug, Ball said: "I'm so proud of him, Norman and I just had a little cry in the car, we had to wait for ages and his dad's still waiting." Woody said he was happy with the new marking system and added: "It actually makes me happier with my marks as an 8 seems higher up and I'm getting a remark in drama and DT because I was three marks off an A* in both." He said he intended to go on to Brighton, Hove and Sussex Sixth Form College and added: "I want to do A-levels in film studies and drama and would be more suited to my career choices later on."
