'Dia Del Payaso' Celebrates Legendary Clown in Peru

Send in the clowns. Hundreds of them took to the streets in Peru’s capital of Lima for the“Dia Del Payaso” Parade. Translated to “Day of the Clown,” the annual event celebrates a man known as Tony Perejil, or clown of the poor. Decades ago he reportedly used to cheer up residents, before dying alone in a hospital. InsideEdition.com’s Stephanie Officer shows how the community continues to keep his legacy alive.
