Video of ‘Sausage Dog Swimming School’ Is the Content People Are Here For

If you're looking for something to brighten up your day, look no further! Dash of Sausage is the Instagram account to a woman named Mads who is a professional dog walker and dog mom to 5 Miniature Dachshunds. She shared a video of her fur babies at what she adorably calls 'Sausage Dog Swimming School', and people can't get enough of all the cuteness!

Mads shared the video at the end of March and I could literally watch it all day. Watch as four of the five sausage dogs enjoy their swim lesson with their favorite swim teacher, Chelsea. They all look like they're having a blast!

This video is exactly the reason that I love social media! I'm so glad Mads shared it because it was the best thing I've seen online so far today. One of the pooches' commenters agreed, "This is the best thing we’ve seen all day!" Several commenters wondered where the fifth dog was and Mads explained, "Unfortunately Fig Bean came into season this week and couldn’t come so she was wrapped up snoozing at home." People left more than a thousand comments, and my favorite came from @ddaley9597 who pointed out, "Gotta love those propeller tails!"

Do Mini Dachshund's Make Good Pets?

There's no denying that mini-Dachshunds (AKA wiener dogs) are adorable, but do they make good pets? There are pros and cons to any dog breed out there, and you just have to decide what will work for your family and lifestyle. These dogs are very playful and love long walks and snuggles just the same. They get along well with other pets and with children and grow strong bonds with their humans. These dogs are known for being very loyal and affectionate. They are also a perfect match for those with small spaces (apartments) or who are looking for an indoor dog because of their small size.

Mini Dachs do have some cons that come with the breed, and they can be big ones for some families. While they are known to be very sweet, they are also known to be stubborn, so training and housebreaking can be difficult and take longer than with other breeds. They also love to bark, which can be a huge turnoff for many. They tend to be pretty active and can get bored if they're left alone for too long, so it's important to have toys and other things to keep them busy. They are not fans of cats, so if you have a cat, this is probably not the dog for you. And unfortunately, they do have some health issues that can lead to expensive care that people don't expect to have to deal with.

If you're considering a new family pet, it's so important to do your research to make sure the breed you are wanting to make part of your family. You just might find that their cons outweigh the pros of owning a particular breed.
