When you send your pet into the veterinarian's office it can be scary. Especially if you have to leave them there overnight. But we're sure that one pet owner was breathing easy after seeing the sweetest video of a vet tech crawling into their dog's kennel when he was upset.

The clip was shared by North Carrollton Veterinary Hospital in Carrollton, Texas and shows something that would bring a tear to any animal lover's eye.

The vet techs were having lunch when they noticed that one of their patients was crying in their kennel. As the clip shows, the vet tech decided to step away from her lunch and crawled her way over to the kennel where the dog was crying. She then crawled into the kennel with the dog and laid down with him, just trying to give him a little comfort while he was away from home.

"When the surgery patient is crying during your lunch party," the video's onscreen text overlay reads.

The video really touched people in the comments section. "There is no amount of money I wouldn’t pay to know my baby was this well taken care of. You all are angels on earth," wrote one person. "The staff told me a couple of them took little naps with mine when she was post-surgery. I was so happy someone was with her when I couldn’t be," another person shared. "During the pandemic after my Dobe got hurt, I couldn't go back into his ER checkups with him. A tech told me over the phone she snuggled up w/him because he was scared. I sobbed after hanging up," explained someone else.

Staying Overnight at the Vet’s

It's totally normal to worry about boarding your dog overnight at the veterinarian's office. But there are some ways you can prepare to make the visit as easy as possible.

If your dog is being admitted for surgery, they may ask that you not feed them before the big day. If your dog is staying to be observed and will be fed, ask if you can bring some food from home. It'll help your dog feel comforted and actually might be a help to staff if they tend to be picky.

A beloved blanket, toy, or bed can also really help. Your dog might just need some of the comforts from home to make him feel safe. Just be prepared for it to come back a little worse for the wear — dogs tend to drool or rely on their possession a little more than they do normally.
