Woman in Starbucks launches tirade against "Oriental" speakers

Police called after the woman caused a scene when she heard a Korean tutoring session

A woman in a Starbucks in Walnut Creek, California, was escorted from the premises by police after launching a tirade against two people speaking Korean during a tutoring session in which she said they should stop speaking "Oriental".

A Starbucks employee intervened to tell the woman the people whom she was berating were entitled to speak Korean.

The employee asked the woman to leave. Eventually a police officer arrived and told the woman to leave the premises.
