French slackliner walks the Eiffel Tower to the Trocadero in Paris

Hundreds of people looked on nervously as Nathan Paulin walked a distance of 2198ft at a height of 200ft crossing from the Eiffel Tower to Trocadero square in Paris.

Trapeze artist Paulin walked barefoot on the rope hovering high up over the River Seine.

Paulin's feat saw him complete a world first for this length of crossing in an urban environment.

The slackline walk was one of nearly 50 events that took place in Paris at the weekend as part of the 31st Telethon to raise money for research into rare diseases.
