Study finds light pollution increasing worldwide

Earth's more populated places tend to be very well-lit, which is good for navigation and safety, but not to so good for night time itself.

A new study reveals that the line between night and day is blurring - and artificial light is to blame.

Satellite readings taken from 2012 to 2016 show an annual two per cent increase on artificial light emissions from the planet during times that would usually be filled with darkness.

The increase can adversely effect nature and human sleeping patterns. Find out more in the video above.
