A customer is seen standing near the glass at the pub, chatting with others, when a few moments later, it explodes.

Mrs Kacy said: "We can't explain it. It's been a few other things and not just this. But this was caught on CCTV.

"The glass exploded and we haven't got a clue why. There was quite a few people in the bar who also witnessed it."

Soon after moving in, a number of other strange incidents are said to have happened.

It is claimed that an ice cream lid flew off the ice-cream maker into the air and on to the floor "while it wasn't even on".

The 47-year-old told Kent Live :"Right after we moved in, I was painting the halls and a spatula flew off the bar and onto the floor.

"It is quite a heavy tool and we couldn't explain it."

Pint glasses have also been pushed off a shelf in the cellar and about two weeks ago, a chair mysteriously moved on its own on the flat upstairs, where Mr Earley lives.

Mrs Kacy who previously lived in East Sussex where she worked as a beauty therapist, added: "It's really scary.

"I have looked at the pub's history but there is no information of it being haunted.

"I asked lots of locals about things that might have happened, but they can't think of anything. There are no legends or stories attached to it.

"It is not really bothering me as I don't live above the pub, but Tim thinks it will be alright again as nothing has happened since the chair moved. But he did leave the lights on for a bit.

"I can't close the pub on my own anymore. I am too scared. And I can't be inside on my own either. I stand outside until a customer walks in.

"I can't think of any explanation except that it is haunted. I do believe in ghosts and spirits."
