Two rescue dog owners claim their pooch is so talented it can talk.

Natalia and Leonid Fedorenko filmed their adorable dog Bosia appearing to say "mama" in exchange for treats.

The owners say they never trained Bosia to say the word and were shocked when he came out with it one day.

Footage of Bosia performing the trick in the family kitchen in Norsk, south east Russia, went viral after being posted online.

Bosia's owners say they have had him for 11 years after adopting the mixed-breed from an animal shelter.

The Fedorenkos described Bosia as "so kind" and the perfect family dog who gets on with children other pet cats.

Natalia added: "He is a hero. We took him when he was tiny from an animal shelter for stray dogs.

"We had been looking for a tiny dog for a long time."

She said he started to 'mumble' once while the family were watching television but they never took much notice.

However, he then started to repeat the word "mama", according to Natalia.

She claims he now says it daily, and she believes he knows exactly what the word means.

Natalia continued: "It seems that he likes saying mama.

"We did not train him on purpose. It all happened by itself."
