Princess Cruises has been named the Best Cruise Line of 2017.

The company took home the top spot at this year's Cruise International Awards , after being voted as the winner by cruise holiday enthusiasts from around the world.

It marked another exciting coup for the brand, who picked up the accolade for the fourth year in a row, beating out the likes of Saga, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises .

In fact, overall it proved to be a fairly successful evening for Princess Cruises , who also won the Best Cruise Line for First-Time Cruisers category, as well as the trophy for Best Product thanks to its 'Ultimate Balcony Dining' experience.

It's no surprise that Princess Cruises is a firm favourite with holidaymakers.

Already boasting an impressive 17 ships - and with another planned for late 2019 - the company offers an extensive array of exciting destinations including the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Asia and the USA and Canada .

Then there's the wide range of shore excursions on offer, ranging from diving with sharks to wine tasting or sightseeing tours.

Therefore, it's no surprise that Princess Cruises was also shortlisted for a further five categories, including Best Value for Money, which was won by Thomson Cruises , and Best for Families which was won by Disney Cruise Line .
