Stolen dodgem car spotted being 'driven' through town on CCTV

Luckily the police saw the funny side of the bizarre incident

A group of youths were filmed attempting to joyride - in a dodgem car.

CCTV footage showed the gang trying to whizz past a nightclub in Caernarfon, north Wales, in the stolen fairground ride.

The "driver" appeared to be being pushed at speed in the shiny blue vehicle by two friends.

Another person could be seen walking near the youths and keeping an eye out for police, reports the Daily Post .

PC Scott Martin, of North Wales Police Roads Policing Unit, saw the funny side when he saw the dumped vehicle.

He was called out to the report of the theft at 8.30pm last Thursday in Y Maes town square.

He tweeted: "#BumperJob – Stolen vehicle pursuit in #Caernarfon

"Vehicle recovered but suspects managed to dodge us and make off! #FairCop."

The dodgem was found not far from Y Maes and returned to its owner.
