A young boy trying to feed a massive kangaroo got a stiff left jab in the face for his efforts.
The unfortunate encounter at a wildlife park in Melbourne, Australia, was caught on camera by the child's mother, Tiff, who can be heard laughing in shock and asking if he is OK.

The 30-second clip begins with timid Dyson plucking up the courage to offer the massive roo some food, Daily Mail Australia reports.
Following the advice of his older brother he takes a confident step towards the marsupial, which is stood next to an emu.

But rather than take kindly to Dyson's offering the kangaroo delivers a solid punch to his left cheek.
Dyson's brother, who can be heard encouraging him at the start of the video, says: "Did it get you in the face? Oh s***."

Dyson does appear to see the funny side
While the whack clearly hurt Dyson, who walks away cradling his face, he does appear to have seen the funny side, which is more than can be said for a young girl who saw the event unfold.
She can be heard screaming 'get away from me' in the background.
