Bristol pub puts Christmas tree up in July

The general manager explained that she wants her guests to have 'the best experience'

And does seem like festive decorations come out earlier and earlier each year.

You'd be forgiven for admitting the jolly season of Noel couldn't be further from your mind - especially as it's July.

After all, we've recently been basking in boiling hot temperatures, slapping on the sun cream and donning our sunglasses.

But a pub in Bristol has shocked its punters by getting its decorations up already - five months early.

The Air Balloon in Filton has put up a tree, complete with baubles, clearly unphased by the warm weather.

Joanne Johnson, the general manager of the pub in Gloucester Road North, thinks she has a pretty good explanation, however.

"I want the guests to have the best experience, I put the tree up as a talking point so guests book as soon as they can and leave all the worry and stress of Christmas Day and Christmas parties to me," she told the Bristol Post.

"Although I've had people think I'm crazy the diary is starting to fill up."
