A newlywed couple were thrown into shock when they returned from their honeymoon to find their home had been turned into a zoo.
Friends of Rene and Marcelle van de Werken filled their house with confetti, 15 bales of hay and allowed chickens and rabbit to roam freely inside

They even filled their bathtub with goldfish to complete the bizarre prank.
The newlyweds, from Dutch town of Nederhemert, five miles south of Zaltbommel, said they appreciated the stunt even though they admitted it would leave most couples furious.

They said: "Of course we were shocked when we walked into the house, as this is ridiculous.
"And sleeping at home was out of the question. But the next day our friends came to help with the cleaning. It was a super day."
The couple said the only cleaning they did was in the garden where a giant logo of Dutch football club Ajax was painted in the grass - left by friends in a nod to Rene's support for arch rivals Feyenoord.

Rene and Marcelle added: "Everything now is clean again and nothing was broken. We found good addresses for the animals and the rabbits we kept ourselves, our children are very happy with it."
When the couple shared the pictures on social media they were shared by hundreds of people with many unimpressed by the practical joke.
One wrote: "You can better say goodbye to friends who do such a thing."
Another added: "Oh how horrible this is. I don't see the humour in it. Outside, OK perhaps, but inside no."
