The smallest deer in the world has been born

Pudu deer are the world's smallest deer species.

As adults, they reach only 12 to 14 inches tall and weight as much as 20 pounds.

One was recently born at the Queens Zoo in New York where staffers say pudu have some interesting traits, including barking when they're scared and running in a zig-zag pattern from predators.
