Bobcat traps family inside their bathroom

In a new take on the 'cat burglar,' a bobcat kept a mother and her two young children hostage in their bathroom for more than an hour.

The bobcat slipped in through the kitchen window and the family ran into the bathroom and called the police.

The cat was heard scratching at the bathroom door in the terrifying incident.

Eight-year-old Nancy said: "It was very scary. It was big. We don't know what it wanted."

It was the family's second day of living in their new house in New Jersey.
