Camilla laughed as actor Callum Arnott, playing the part of a grumpy farmer, jumped out in front of her and made an impassioned plea to be knighted with a leek.

The eccentric thespian shouted: "Knight me!" Then asked: "Will you knight me please?"

Camilla jokingly bestowed the honour but refused to dub him on both shoulders.

Callum, wearing waders and a suit, responded: "Is that it? Just on the one shoulder? I'm in my full thigh-high rubber just for you madam."

He added: "Thank you madam, or should that be Ma'am?"
