The first of the cruise line's World Class ships to launch over the next few years, it measures 1,033 feet long and 213 feet tall, carrying 5,714 passengers in 2,760 cabins.
At 171,598 GRT, it's the biggest cruise ship in Europe and the largest to come into service in 2017.
Inspired by the wonders of the world as Meraviglia literally means 'wonder,' the ship features world-class entertainment from Cirque du Soleil with two exclusive Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows created just for MSC Meraviglia, which guests can enjoy as a unique show & dinner or show & cocktail experience.
It has a whopping 20 bars and 12 dining venues, offering the widest range of dining options and bars on any MSC Cruises ship to date, and a dedicated family deck area bringing the newest entertainment to the whole family.
Meraviglia is home to the longest LED Sky Screen at Sea at 80 metres-long encompassing a stunning 96 metre-long Mediterranean-style promenade, designed to become the social hub of the ship.
For an exclusive holiday experience, the MSC Yacht Club has luxurious accommodations spanning three decks, private facilities and butler service round-the-clock.
Some of the most glamorous features are the Swarovski staircase, a Miami-style pool with generous poolside spaces and an Asian-inspired spa with four pools and nine whirlpools, plus guests can choose from ten different cabin types.
A glittering ceremony will take place on the evening of 3 June, when international screen legend and godmother of all of MSC Cruises' ships Sophia Loren will christen the ship.
