Bear shows off dance moves as he gives himself a back rub

The animal is thought to have been leaving it's scent to ward off predators

One of the grooviest bears we've ever seen decided to show off his dance moves in footage captured in the Visim Nature Reserve in Russia's Sverdlovsk region.

The local brown bear, which is named Ferapont by nature reserve staff, twisted and turned while rubbing his back against the tree.

Biologists say that this sort of behavior is actually very common for brown bears.

They rub against trees in order to leave their scent and mark their territory, warning their competition from getting too close.
