A dad has died after falling a 'considerable' distance while walking on Tryfan mountain in Snowdonia with his daughter.
North Wales Police was alerted to the horror accident at around 12.10pm on Sunday.
The man, who is believed to be from Exeter and in his late 50s, was pronounced dead shortly after.
Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team were called to Tryfan to reports the man had slipped while walking in the area with his daughter.
The Coastguard helicopter airlifted the walker to hospital
A fellow rock climber saw the incident, and did his best to help save him, Wales Online reported.
The climber made the 999 call after scrambling down the gulley to reach the man, who was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd by coastguard helicopter.
PC Gethin Jones said: "His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with his family and friends."
