A toddler dramatically tumbled out of a car and landed in the road after she managed to open the door.

The child, who was not strapped into a car seat, is just dumped in the road as her unsuspecting mother drives on.

Presumably alerted by an older child also sat in the back of the car, it suddenly comes to a halt and the driver dashes back to the road.

The dangerous incident took place in the city of Hsinchu, in north-western Taiwan, where the child was lucky enough not to be run over by other drivers at the junction.

Dashcam footage provided by another motorist shows how the youngster suddenly opened the back door on the left side of the white sedan.

The couple who recorded the incident quickly notified the child's parents by repeatedly blasting their car horn.

The baby got picked up by a woman

Shocked pedestrians also run over to the girl, and one of them picks the child up and later handed him back to his parents.

The lucky parents found the little one was unharmed.
