According to the Metro, a police spokesman said the tragic incident is being investigated and is currently being treated as an accident.

The spokesman said: "All we can say at this stage is that a British woman born in 1989 has fallen from a ten-floor flat in Benidorm and died as a result."

According to the Mirror, police added that she had partying with friends at the flat in Apartamentos Payma in the Little England area when she fell.

Back in September, a young tourist from Scotland died after falling from a balcony in Mallorca.

Alexander Forrest, from Edinburgh, was on holiday in Magaluf with two friends when he died in a "horrendous accident".
