A great-grandfather has become the oldest person to ride a roller coaster as he broke another Guinness World Record on his 105th birthday.

Adventurous Jack Reynolds said he was "amazed" and wanted "another go in a minute" after an exhilarating ride on the Twistosaurus attraction at Yorkshire's Flamingo Land theme park.

This continues an amazing run of birthday record attempts, after he became the oldest person to get a tattoo on his 104th birthday.

The daredevil, who also flew in a vintage Tiger Moth plane last year, admitted he was "frightened to death" at experiencing his first roller coaster in 80 years.

Speaking to Good Morning Britain's Katy Rickitt before his daunting ride, fearless Jack said: "That's what I'm frightened of - leg room."

"You've got to go back more than 80 years. I think that was before your time."

Jack, who was raising money for the Air Ambulance with his effort, added: "I'm frightened to death, really frightened."


Jack has eight grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren


He got a tattoo of his nickname 'Jacko' and birth date for his 104th birthday

He was accompanied by daughter Jayne and Dr Hilary Jones, who warned G-forces can plays with blood pressure and heart rate.

Jayne said: "I've been upside down so many times. I've got a real bad fear of heights but I've had to overcome it for this chap."

A Guinness World Records representative confirmed the brave great-grandfather of 21 had broken the record, before Jack blew out candles on his birthday cake.

Presenter Ben Shephard called Jack an "absolute legend", while viewers took to Twitter to give him praise.
