Chaos as bull escapes in New York

A bull bolted from a Queens slaughterhouse in New York on Tuesday, roaming the city streets for hours before it was captured.

The animal was spotted casually trotting down the tarmac as people raced after it.

Police eventually captured the bull after it was shot with several tranquiliser darts.

However, Animal Care Centres of New York City said it died on the way to one of it shelters.
