Mysterious UFO-shaped cloud appears over Sweden

An amazing UFO-shaped cloud left residents and skiers scratching their heads as it appeared over the Swedish ski resorts of Are and Duved on Thursday.

The unusual and beautiful cloud was snapped by social media users who spotted it in the sky.

One of them, Elvira Kuper, told broadcaster SVT: "I thought it was pretty cool."
The cloud was explained by experts as a lenticular cloud, which forms when the air is forced to rise as it hits a mountain or skyscraper. When the air cools, it creates incredible shapes.
A few years ago, an intrepid hiker captured an image of what could easily be mistaken by conspiracy theorists as a UFO hovering over a volcano in Russia.
Ivan Dementievskiy snapped a rare cloud formation settling over the volcano at Klyuchevskaya Sopka in Russia to create what looked like a huge hat.
He said: "The sky suddenly seemed to open up and this weird shape appeared."
