The marsupial, dubbed Geoff by locals in the Australian town where he roams, appears to be trying to break in to the house.

The Brit who shot the footage Wallan, Victoria, was preparing to leave for work when she spotted the would-be intruder.

The video shows the kangaroo on its hind legs, loudly pummelling the glass.

Its aggression left the mum and her two children afraid to leave the house.

She said: "It's one thing to admire the roos from a far, it's another to be under house arrest thanks to their aggressive actions!

"Geoff can see his reflection in our tinted windows, I'm presuming that is the reason for the sudden onslaught.

"As time ticked on, the children were starting to worry they would miss their trip to the movies if we didn't get out of the house on time sooo, I, flip-flop in hand, took to the front door with the intention of shooing him away but thankfully Geoff was already on the move."

She added: "All's well that ends well bar the scratches on the windows although we each now have a new found wariness of those bouncing bundles of 'cuteness'.

Her clip has been watched more than 150,000 times on YouTube.

Last year footage of a hapless kangaroo picking a fight with its own reflection proved a hit online.

The clip showed the marsupial scratching at a window with his large paws before standing back and sizing up his 'opposition'.

He twice shoulder barged the window and was thrown back with some force as he hits the glass.
