Terrified riders rescued from Australian rollercoaster

Emergency workers removed 20 people from the top of a broken rollercoaster at the popular Movie World theme park on Australia's Gold Coast on Wednesday.

Officials at theme park said a mechanical problem on the ride left the group stuck for nearly two hours.

There were no reports of injuries and footage shows members of public on the ride walking down the emergency stair case that runs alongside the ride.

Late last year, four people were killed on a ride at Dreamworld, another Gold Coast theme park.
