Bride forced to honeymoon alone after husband's visa rejected

A bride who was forced to honeymoon alone last year has finally taken a trip with her new husband.

Huma married Arsalaan in Lahore, Pakistan in 2015 and they planned a 10-day honeymoon to Greece with all their family.

However, not everything went quite to plan, as Arsalaan's visa was rejected, forcing Huma to take her in-laws without him.

Over the 10 days, Huma journeyed around Greece on a trip costing £3,300.

She took to Facebook to post tongue-in-cheek photos of herself alone at top attractions, and they quickly went viral.

The hilarious snaps caught the attention of Interconitnental Hotels Group who loyalty programme, IHG Rewards Club, gifted the couple one million points.

This meant the couple could finally go on their dream honeymoon together.

They spent Christmas in Barcelona and New Year's Eve in Paris on a trip that they estimate could have cost around £8,500.
