They may say that 'lightning never strikes the same place twice' but it looks like that might not actually be true.
This footage captures lightning appearing to strike the same place near Vicksburg, Arizona, USA, at least nine times.

As if one lightning strike wasn't terrifying enough, the film shows the strikes hitting the ground over and over again, lighting up the sky in a blaze of white light.
Earlier this year a severe lightning storm in South Australia managed to knock out the power to the whole state.
The SA Power Network said there had been more than 21,000 lightning strikes recorded in the state over a 12-hour period.
The lightning storm left traffic at a standstill in Adelaide and the Olympic Dam copper-uranium mine 300 miles northwest was also severely affected.
