What's at the Museum of Broken Relationships?

Think your break-up was bad? Take a trip to the heart of Hollywood and you'll find Los Angeles' Museum of Broken Relationships where you can get some perspective.

The museum opened in May 2016 and features crowd-sourced artifacts from broken love, like a wedding dress stuffed in a mason jar, love letters, and a pair of silicone breast implants.

The museum is a crowd-funded project that currently has two permanent collections in LA and Zagreb, Croatia.

The Los Angeles branch was founded by John B. Quinn in 2016.

On its website, the museum describes itself as "a physical and virtual public space created with the sole purpose of treasuring and sharing your heartbreak stories and symbolic possessions."

"It is a museum about you, about us, about the ways we love and lose."

The Zagreb branch is described as 'a unique emotional journey around the world through hundreds of break-ups'

Do you have something you think is worth its own place in the museum? You can 'unburden the emotional load by erasing everything that reminds you of that painful experience' by contributing to the collection.

You'll find more information on the website here.
