According to the Standard, the pop icon pair never lived there full time but rather used the home as a lavish party pad at weekends, entertaining superstars from Elvis Presley to Janis Joplin.

The Grade II-listed property boasts six bedrooms, a beautiful pool, a floodlit tennis court, and a coach house with entertainment room, party room, cinema and gym.

There's also a listed stone barn with secure garaging for up to 6 cars and a large attached tractor barn, as well as an American stable block with seven loose boxes, tack and feed room, a large workshop, and a large multi-purpose steel barn.

Oh, and we almost forgot the self-contained apartment, too.

The property is being marketed by Strutt and Parker. On Rightmove, its description says: "Socknersh Manor enjoys an idyllic rural setting about 2.5 miles south of the attractive village of Burwash, in the heart of the Sussex countryside, 60 miles from Central London.

"A feature of this impressive estate is the well-groomed formal gardens which provide a number of distinct areas. These include a walled garden, sunken garden featuring 'hidden' child's playhouse, formal knot garden, rose gardens, orchard and walled courtyard off the kitchen/breakfast room. In turn, the gardens are surrounded by rolling parkland with a sizeable fishing/boating lake and woodland to the south and further woodland to the east.

"Set within a valley, the large lake is well-stocked with carp and fed by a natural stream. Complete with a traditionally-built oak boat house and jetty it allows for an array of water sports and fishing. The large adjoining woodland also conceals a further wooden building with fun log flume into the lake."

Now, we just need to rustle up that rather hefty sale price...
