Strange footage shows ultra-localised rain storm in Sicily

The video, on 17 September, shows people stopping to observe an apparent rain storm that is only taking place over a tiny area of road.

While a large pool of water is forming in the middle of the road from the rain, the area around it remains completely dry.

The bizarre weather incident has been covered in the Italian press recently, as another occurrence was also reported as happening in Palermo two-and-a-half years ago.

The footage shows drivers slowing down in confusion as they pass through the rainfall, with passers-by also stopping to have a look.
