Trespassers narrowly miss death in train tunnel: Video

Two people had an incredibly lucky escape after wandering into a railway tunnel, only to be met by an oncoming train.

A dramatic video of the incident has been released by Northern Ireland train operator Translink to raise awareness about the dangers of trespassing on train lines.

As the oncoming train slows to try and avoid hitting the two trespassers, one of them pulls the other into a recess in the tunnel, escaping danger.

A lifeguard waving frantically at the entrance to the tunnel alerted the driver at Downhill Strand, Co Londonderry.
