What? British Airways offering free First Class upgrades

Many of us have tried all sorts of different tricks to get a free upgrade to First Class (we're on our honeymoon, honest!).

But now, if you're flying British Airways, you don't need to worry about all of that.

The airline has launched a promotion, which we first saw at the Metro, that offers a free upgrade for Club World passengers to First Class.

Sara Dunham, British Airways' head of marketing, retail and direct, said: "For no additional cost, travellers receive all the extra benefits of First, from the bespoke lounges to the comfortable suites on-board and personalised service.

"It's a really nice way for us to recognise our customers and give them something back as a thank you for their booking and their loyalty."

You can expect to be whisked through fast-track before making your way to the First lounge or Concorde Room (outbound from Heathrow Terminal 5).

Once onboard, you can cosy down in your 6ft 6inch bed. Your cabin has personal blinds and a wardrobe and there's a personalised service, complete with an a la carte menu, fine wines and Champagne.

Sounds good to us.

The offer is valid on tickets booked between 6 September and 11 December for passengers and flights that meet the criteria. For more information visit britishairways.com.

If you would like to take up the offer, call the British Airways contact centre on 0344 493 0787.
