These cyclists leapt into action when they saw a horse stuck in a ditch.
They managed to get hold of a length of rope which they used to lever the animal out of the mud.

It wasn't easy though. Their first two attempts didn't work out and the animal appears to be slipping further back into the dirty water.
However, it seems it really was third time lucky, as they managed to heave the horse out as it grappled with the grass and clambered up onto the river bank.
Thankfully the animal seemed unharmed by the traumatic incident, although no doubt a little tired.
