Leo (who was named after Leonardo Da Vinci, believed to be the creator of the first ever robot) greets passengers and scans boarding passes, and can print out tags to be placed on luggage.

Passengers can then load their luggage into the robot's compartments, which are then transported to the baggage handling area, where an airport worker directs them to the right plane.

The robot's doors can only be opened by baggage operators, and it is programmed to dodge obstacles and other passengers.

Leo recently did a trial run in Switzerland and could soon be seen at other airports.... Watch this space.
