An alien-like jellyfish has been discovered 2.3 miles below the surface of the sea, causing great excitement to scientists.
The creature was spotted by the NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration and Research during a dive at the end of April.

The discovery was made on the Enigma Seamount near the Mariana Trench, off the Philippines.
It was noted for having two sets of tentacles - one short and one long.
The Mariana Trench is located deep in the Pacific Ocean between the Philippines and southern Japan.
